Festival Earth

Earth Day is not the only time to celebrate the planet.  Festival Earth is a collaboration of area corporations, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and schools to promote the people, planet, and prosperity of the Morristown community. We are receiving an impressive group of participants, exhibitors, and vendors. Past years have included: Sustainable Living Expo, Presentation Stage, Arts Showcase, Farmers’ Market, Hybrid – Electric Auto Show, Healthy Foods Pavilion, Valet Bike Parking, and much more. The Sustainable Living Expo featured vendors and exhibits ranging from hydroponic gardens to solar energy and holistic wellness. Dozens of booths will be set up this year around the Vail Mansion Green to showcase things like sustainable agriculture, food, transportation, wellness, and energy solutions, and electric cars.

4 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk

10:15am 2 Mile walk begins, 11:00 am Everyone’s a Winner Race for Our House residents.                      Our House 4 Miler will be here before you know it with over 500 participants and a great course which runs through beautiful and upscale Summit, NJ. All staging is done on The Green with non-stop DJ music and fun pre-race activities. .Why should you run Our House? Well, besides the great course, sleeveless tech tee, super giveaways and terrific refreshments, we can’t think of any good reason. The Beer BBQ Bacon Showdown is New Jersey’s first festival, featuring only New Jersey Beer, coupled with restaurants, gourmet food trucks & Chefs, offering a delicious array of mouthwatering BBQ & Bacon creations, all available for purchase. There will be a competition to showcase their culinary skills, with a panel of celebrity judges choosing the best of the best, along with People’s Choice awards for Best Dish & Best Beer.
30 New Jersey Breweries will be in attendance, each bringing four styles of Beer. One of these styles will be either a rare Beer or a Brew created specifically for this event. Superhero Half Marathon & Relay

You will love this scenic, single-loop course! There are some moderate hills in the first 3 miles of the race, but the last 10 are flat to gently rolling. There will be plenty of water stations and cheering spectators along the way. Large Superhero medals to all finishers. Prizes for top male, female and mixed relay teams. Don’t feel like running 13.1 miles? Find a partner and split the distance.
